3D with Blender

14:00 - 17:00 IST
PAST
3D with Blender highlight

It’s time to blend some creativity, mesh with new skills, and render your imagination in 3D! If Blender has ever looked like a jungle of buttons or you’ve wondered how cubes magically turn into cool art, this workshop will help you smooth out the rough edges.

No experience is needed. We start from square one and extrude our way up!

What’s on the Menu

  • Getting familiar with Blender’s interface (we know it looks scary!).
  • Basic 3D modeling—we promise your cubes won’t stay cubes forever.
  • Texturing and simple renders that actually look render-worthy.
  • Tips to avoid getting lost in the viewport abyss.

Event Details

  • Speakers: Manish Behera & Anuprovo Debnath
  • Venue: M.N. Saha Lecture Hall Theatre, TRC Ground Floor (Updated Venue)
  • Timing: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM IST

Prerequisites & FAQ

Please make sure to install Blender beforehand unless you enjoy watching progress bars more than polygons. You can download the Free and Open Source 3D Creation Software at blender.org.

  • Do you need a laptop? Yes! Please bring your laptop, a mouse, and your charger.
  • Do you need an extension cable? Highly recommended.
  • Can I install it when I get there? It is highly recommended to install it prior, rather than trusting the iiserk_wireless network for a large download on the spot.
  • Will I need the internet for the workshop? Probably not!

Whether you’re into design, animation, game assets, or just want to say “I made this in Blender” with confidence, this workshop is where things start to shape up. Let’s rotate ideas, scale up creativity, and face a few normals together.
